Oldham Boxing hosts ‘Future Olympians’

A local boxing club is preparing an Olympic style show in Oldham.
Oldham Boxing and Personal Development Centre, Oldham’s only ABAE affiliated club, is hosting an amateur show to showcase the talents of Oldham’s youngsters.
‘Future Olympians’ will provide Oldham with a glimpse of the town’s boxing prospects in a build up to London 2012. The show, in partnership with Oldham Community Leisure will start an exciting weekend for the town and will act as a warm up to the Olympic Torch passing through Oldham the next day.

For more than three years OBPDC, currently based at the Derker Annex in Derker, has delivered pioneering pieces of community based work for all residents of Oldham to get involved in not just Amateur.
