This blogpost is from Charlie Gilkey (Productive Flourishing). I love his blogs and follow him on Twitter and FB too. Such insights! This one entitled Stand Up is about making a stand when things go wrong or you hit obstacles - in business particularly, but the metaphor is warfare experience has a clear objective! For all business people, start ups included - about accepting the bad and good, re-grouping when necessary and working round the obstacles and problems that hit us regularly!
For me, this is where life coaching comes in. When you have so much to do, options and decisions to make, plans to implement and a path to chisel out - it's overwhelming! Not just at the beginnning, but all through business life.
When I started on OBN one of the key things tossed out to me were distractions that led to procrastination or lack of clear pathway, next steps, next levels or future plans.
Always re-group. Regularly.
That half day or full day 'off work' - or a couple of hours - isn't a day off at all! It's a strategic planning day, a time to take stock, a time to clear your head (Clear Mind...) and take that step back to see the bigger picture rather than be over-awed by the whole picture and associated responsibility!
So what is your biggest lesson to date in business?
What do you need in order to regularly re-group your plans, ideas, implementations and path to a great future?
