Comment by Julie Crowley on May 13, 2012 at 13:07 Doing a short session for Jonathan Phillips at the Enteprise Club in Oldham Business Centre tomorrow, for people setting up in business as part of the unemployment support drive "Get Oldham Working". Look out for the Lees Job Club Launch in June too!
Comment by Julie Crowley on May 8, 2012 at 20:34 I have updated my brand - website if you want to have a look and your comments would be welcome, business cards and logo including the one for this group.
Also, a couple of blogs coming into my inbox this week you may be interested in. There are a few links to other blogs on my site, and these come from some of those - insights, observations, changes and options. Again, comments welcome.

Comment by Julie Crowley on April 29, 2012 at 9:45 Some good quotes from Mark Clough picked up today from OBN Motivational Quotes page - Steve Jobs and Viktor Frankl. Have a look too at the blog today about the (economic) "recovery" and what it should mean, rather than the way the it is promoted. Be part of the 'tiny revolutions'! I love it.
Comment by Nayereh Kelly on April 16, 2012 at 19:33 Very funny! Although if I am going to get up at that time I'd rather go for a run... and no food hmm, would only be a total negative as I would then spend most of my time thinking about food!
Comment by Julie Crowley on April 16, 2012 at 17:35 I suppose I took it as sarcasm, hence thought it amusing to post that 'this might work' but it certainly has caused a stir of interest and comments, and obviously the thought and emotions behind them! :) That's what I like ...
Comment by Deborah Wroe on April 16, 2012 at 17:10 Ok I read it, David Altucher comes across as a loner, with limited/no social skills and a passion for profit - immediate profit, above all else. It shows a complete lack of skill in relationship building. Either that or it is sarcasm, in which case it it bloody funny.
Comment by Julie Crowley on April 16, 2012 at 17:07 Yes Tom, I couldnt get up at 4 am although sometimes I am awake (sadly) and then it can be planning/creative time for me warm and cosy in bed, but my mind working. It has happened. Other times recently though I am more than happy to sleep through til 7 and get up at a reasonable hour, for a reasonable working day! As you say, each to their own. Maybe its nicer in the US than here at 4 am!?!?!
Comment by Julie Crowley on April 16, 2012 at 17:04 Lol Guy. I get the posts from David Kanigan who has two older children tho but I don't think he sleeps or eats, and blogs a lot (esp for the CEO of Morgan Stanley Bank, NY!). I will check up on the guy who's post it was and let you know! hehe
You need to read it Deborah! It's amusing as you see from above lol
Maybe you are but still, sometimes it can feel like that :)
Comment by Thomas Yates (OBN Co-Founder) on April 16, 2012 at 17:03 Neither does going to bed earlier and waking up earlier. Personally, my brain seems to work best late at night and when at university and doing assignments it would only really switch on at 1am in the morning. I would rather work from 1am til 4am and get a few hours of sleep between 4am and 8am than going to bed much earlier and waking up at 4:30am to begin the day.
Each to their own I guess.
