You need to be fast and capable at styles to suit young girls and teenagers, eg braiding, updos and some curling/straightening. Skills are more important than qualifications or experience. Experience of vintage stlyes would be an advantage, but not essential. There will definitely be opportunities to get professional portfolio photographs, so it would be ideal for a student.
