Oldham Women in Business was set up about 4 years ago by Barbara Jackson of Miller's Florist, Paula Jones of RBS and Chantelle Tupman of Clough Manor. The idea is for Oldham's women in business to be able to support each other. At the moment there is a OBN group, please join, and a monthly newsletter, please sign up and a monthly get together; Casual Thursday, please come, see events listing! Nothing formal, lots of chat.

Comment by Julie Crowley on January 29, 2013 at 18:53 Wow you are organised for 2013 with WIB dates in for the year, which is great. Will add to my diary and try to work them in for all if I can (cept the 7th Feb as my own network will clash a little).
Comment by Julie Crowley on December 16, 2012 at 17:39 I have invited another lady to the meeting if thats OK, as she will be attending my event for Simply Networking Oldham 3-5 pm on 10th Jan, before this one (a week later than the first Thursday usually because of Christmas and NY), so she is interested to see what WiB is like too.

Comment by Liz Lancashire on October 8, 2012 at 16:38 Ladies, who agrees with this? Is social media helping women to find their voice? http://wallblog.co.uk/2012/10/08/sharing-the-floor-is-social-media-...

Comment by Liz Lancashire on September 7, 2012 at 16:16 According to this Startups article, women access business finance differently to men, but their evidence seems to be based on 'anecdotes' and 'best estimates'. Can anyone say they share the experiences in the article?
Comment by Janet Smith on August 30, 2012 at 13:34 August eNewsletter now available, click here. Details of September's Casual Thursday, please RSVP.
Comment by Ann Challenor on August 27, 2012 at 20:43 Just to let you know your all invited to My Fair Cupcakes , after shoot party Sunday 2nd September.
We have decided to have a party! Starting at 5pm and running till 7pm, recommended entry fee of £3, which gets you an exciting score card to give you a voice on what makes it onto the final menu. All proceeds raised will go to Willow Wood hospice, because they are amazing and we will always support them in any way we can. Its going to be at Stalybridge train station buffet bar, Stalybridge, Rassbottom St, SK15 1RF . We will have a draw with prizes and launch some special offers as well. Be great to see you all. Take care, Ann :D
