The Arts Hub - Finish Line

The journey is almost complete. We have a little cleaning and a splash more paint, before we launch The Arts Hub in January 2014.It couldn't have been achieved without the funding awarded to us by The Greater Manchester High Sheriff's Police Trust and Failsworth District Partnership. We showed our funders and partners our vision to save a community asset and turn it into a 'first of it's kind' in the North West. What we discovered was enthusiasm and an understanding for what we can achieve…See More

Describe your business
Performance Plaza is a not-for-profit organisation, founded in 2005 by Paul J, Burgess and Jason D. Bromley, with funding supplied at the time by Dorothy Bogdan, literally an ‘Angel in America’.

The idea behind Performance Plaza is a simple one. To use performance art as a tool to aid the learning, adapting, growth and bonding within local communities.

Since 2005, we have provided workshops in guitar tuition, drama, samba sessions, confidence building, creative writing and basically anything that falls under ’the arts’, at minimal cost, to everyone.

Recently we have been gifted a building from our local council, and will only rent the land it sits on. This opportunity will allow us to offer so much more than we already have, and more regularly. A dedicated building is everything. We intend to have a small recording studio, workshop room, office and storage.

'The Arts Hub' will be a thriving creative space for the local community of Oldham.

The Arts Hub - Journey Continues

We anticipated swift movement with building works and development with The Arts Hub.

We weren't wrong!

From the start, it's been all about acquiring a suitable amount of funding, the correct 'understanding' contractors and the development of relevant and beneficial partnerships. Following our successful fundraiser on Friday 20th…
