Saddleworth Beer Walk - the end of yet another tradition??!

I'm am so sad to read about the Council's decision to scrap Policing of the Saddleworth Beer Walk so it can no longer take place. It is a great tradition for the area and must bring in lots of tourists and past residents to the area - so generating business for the local shops.It helps to add to the ever growing calendar of events that takes part in the area and so helps to put Saddleworth on the map.

I'd love to hear other people's thoughts and what possibly could be done to…
