In response to Tom’s question today ...
Yes, I have looked at NLP. I am not formally trained but have read a lot and practiced it for myself, and life coaching is based on this so I do use it in my work with every client. It is/would be something I'm interested in anyway, as psychology was my start into this work and was always an interest. Unsure why you ask the question you do, but I can guess what you mean. I believe that using our mind and body (soul too!) then yes, if we…

Re Gillian's blog post on comfort zones they are scary yes, but as I said the sense of achievement when you overcome the fear and go to Rochdale (or wherever) is immense. It becomes part of our new comfort zone - it's how we grow and become the person we are today. Sometimes, the person we are is because we didn't learn to push those zones wider and wider - we get stuck (depression, stress, anxiety and panic attacks for example).

Hope you are well,
No social this month, instead the moderators and founders are getting together and planning a few things OBN related, including a big party for us reaching 1000 members!

Danyel Williamson said… Hi Julie,
I work with 16 - 25 year olds who are not in any education, employment or training.
I work with them to dicover the issues they are facing, from houing to just being unsure of what websites to use.
I try to sign post them to education, training or employment oppertunites in the area, work experiance is a big issue for a lot of our young people, wwe also have a 12 week proramme deliveed for us by Groundwork Oldham and Rochdale that regularly need work experiance placements as part of the programme.
The trust has lots to offer, but we are also now sign posting young people to the oppertunities and help in their loal area.
