We are hoping to have a day long event celebrating International Women’s Day on 8 March 2012 featuring achievements of women in a range of disciplines in the local, national and international context. This event will also cover some cultural aspects involving performances by various groups. We are also exploring to invite high profile inspirational speakers and artists. The event will take place in the Performance Space at Oldham Library and Lifelong Learning Centre.

We would like to work with different groups and organisations to make it very substantial. We are open to ideas and feel your group’s contribution will make it very effective. Our deadline to put details in the next library events guide is drawing nearer and I will appreciate if you could let me know how much input you would like to make in this event.
