Anyone got any good ideas for a name for the council and partners employment service, that is new, exciting and doesn't get confused with our HR or recruitment service? and maybe hasn't already been used in the past... so far we have:
To Work' Services
Into Work' Services
Workpath'
Workpathways'
@Work'
Workpassport

council
and
partners
employment
service

Very Apple I know ;-)
Comment by Carol Oldham on January 25, 2012 at 10:45 Why couldn't the name BE employability? In my experience of when I worked at the council there are a lot of schemes that have used the words Passport in them.
Comment by Jonathan Phillips on January 24, 2012 at 11:08 ok we will go with passport to recruitment for employers and passport to work for employees, email address can be employability@oldham.gov.uk . That hits both audiences. Then we could even have passport to careers for students, etc Is this a good way forward?
Comment by Liz Lancashire on January 24, 2012 at 9:59 Agreed Tom, that's two votes against the word 'work'
Comment by Thomas Yates (OBN Co-Founder) on January 24, 2012 at 9:31 Personally, like Liz mentioned earlier I think that aims it at the potential employee and not the employer. So depends on who your real target audience is.
Comment by Jonathan Phillips on January 23, 2012 at 16:52 Thanks all- what do you think of Passport to Work ?
Comment by Thomas Yates (OBN Co-Founder) on January 23, 2012 at 16:26 Any of these suggestions take your liking Jonathan?
Comment by Deborah Wroe on January 20, 2012 at 15:46 My two penn'orth.....Oldham Pathways to Employment OPtE or OPT(E) or OPT.E then you can use the opt for...options, opting in....the op for opportunities, opposition, opinions etc.
